  • February 17, 2022: Hrishikesh is awarded the Ivor K. McIvor Award from the College of Engineering. Congrats! (The award will be presented at the College Leaders and Honors Brunch during the morning of March 20, 2022.) 
  • January 17, 2022: Zhenkun and Yuning’s collaborative paper is the one of the six finalists of the Student Paper Competition of the 2022 SPIE Smart Structures-NDE conference (6-9 March 2022, Long Beach, California). Good luck!
  • September 30, 2021: Tol Research Group is awarded a DARPA grant titled “In-Space Design Technologies Integrated with Novel Metamaterials for High-Precision Future Structures” (PI: Prof. Serife Tol, co-PIs: Profs. Ellen M. Arruda, Xiaoming Mao, Anthony M. Waas, Total award to UM: $1,462,397).

  • July 3, 2019: Prof. Tol’s paper on 3D-printed phononic crystal lens for elastic wave focusing and energy harvesting has been accepted for publication in Additive Manufacturing (by Profs. Tol, Degertekin, and Erturk).
